An Indiana man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Pope County, Illinois on Wednesday.
Deputies with the United States Marshals Service and an officer with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on 40-year-old Floyd D. Caudill.
Caudill was tracked to the Lake Glendale Campground in Pope County. Officers made verbal contact with Caudill who refused to exit his tent.
A shot was fired from the tent with a deputy marshal returning fire. Caudill was found to be deceased in his tent.
Illinois State Police are investigating. No further information will be released at this time.
