A geomagnetic storm could bring another round of the rarely seen "northern lights" (aurora borealis) for viewing as far south as Tennessee tonight.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Weather Prediction Center said, "a blast of solar material, billions of tons of it, arrived at earth this morning at exactly 9:15 a.m."
The best chance to see the lights will be between sunset and midnight.
There's no guarantee of the appearance of lights, which can be difficult to forecast. But the sky will be cloud-free during that time period.
For best results, get away from city lights and find the darkest rural location with as few trees or obstructions to the north. Cell phone pictures will enhance the colors that might not be so apparent to the naked eye.
If it happens, it'll be at least the second episode locally, after a widespread showing in May.
