An Almo man wanted since early July was arrested Thursday in Murray.

Back on July 8th, Calloway County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Almo home of 23-year-old Gene D. Steely III to perform a welfare check. When deputies got to the home, they located some 40 marijuana plants growing in the backyard, which is a felony. They did not locate Steely, however.

Thursday night, deputies found Steely at a home in Murray where he was arrested. Deputies also allegedly located methamphetamine in his possession.

Steely was charged with marijuana cultivation and meth possession. He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
