A brief episode of isolated strong thunderstorms caused tree and power line damage around Murray and Calloway County on Friday morning.
According to reports called in to the National Weather Service, an uprooted tree fell on a truck, and there were trees down on some power lines on State Line Road in Hazel. A large tree came down in Midway.
The weather service also reported winds of 60 miles per hour on the east side of Murray.
WKRECC reports that more than 300 customers were without power as of Friday afternoon.
