The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 2.5 quake was detected Saturday night in southeastern Illinois.
The quake occurred at 11:11 p.m. near West Salem, located 47 miles northwest of Evansville, Indiana.
It was measured at a depth of 13 miles.
Reports to the USGS indicate the quake was felt from Olney and Albion, Illinois, to Bloomington, Indiana.
In August, three previous tremors were detected to the northeast near Vincennes, Indiana.
