Southern 7 Health Department has scheduled community drive-thru flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics this month across southern Illinois.

Residents 18 and older are encouraged to get their shots to reduce the overall burden of respiratory illnesses.

Drive-thru flu vaccine clinics scheduled: 
October 9 - Golden Circle Senior Center, Golconda 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
October 10 - Davie Street Parking Lot, Anna 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
October 16 - Golden Circle Senior Center, Elizabethtown 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
October 23 - Southern 7 Public Health Clinic, Ullin 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
October 23 - Cairo Airport 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
October 25 - Fort Massac State Park, Metropolis 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Trivalent Regular and High Dose flu vaccine for those 65 and older, and the new COVID-19 vaccine will be available without an appointment at each drive-thru clinic while supplies last.

Patients can receive one or both vaccines during their visit.

The CDC recommends getting your flu vaccine by the end of October before flu season begins; however vaccination can be given at any time during the flu season.
