Suspect in Calvert shoplifting complaint turns himself in

A suspect in a shoplifting theft in Calvert City turned himself in after police posted his picture.

Calvert City Police said Family Dollar employees reported a theft from their store, but when officers arrived the suspect was gone. After looking at the surveillance footage, police posted a picture of the individual on their social media channels seeking help identifying the person. 

The suspect, 31-year-old Christian Douglas Williams of Hickory, turned himself in to Calvert Police after family members saw the post. 

Williams is charged with theft by unlawful taking.
