Man charged in Madisonville nursing home assault investigations

A unidentified man was arrested Thursday in connection with two sexual assaults reported at a Madisonville nursing home.

Madisonville Police told WKDZ officers were called to Madisonville Manor Nursng Home Wednesday night around 11:30 where an resident told police a man entered her room and demanded she go with him to a recreation room. 

The suspect had a knife and told the victim about his ex wife being murdered.  She was then taken to another room where she was sexually assaulted.

Police were also approached by another resident who said the same man entered her room Tuesday night and touched her inappropriately.

The suspect was taken into custody Thursday morning and charged with rape and sexual abuse. 

During questioning, investigators said the suspect said he only "made out" with the women and did say his ex wife had been murdered.

The investigation is continuing.
