No. 1-ranked North Dakota State scored on all five possessions in the first half and rolled to a 59-6 win at Murray State on Saturday at Roy Stewart Stadium
NDSU (8-1, 5-0 Missouri Valley Football Conference) scored 24 points off five Murray State turnovers and built a 42-3 halftime lead.
The Bison defense held Murray State (1-7, 0-5 MVFC) to five field goal attempts with James London converting from 24 yards in the second quarter and 47 yards in the fourth quarter.
In spite of never reaching the end zone, the Racer offense did have some success against the 17-time national champs. Murray State gained 308 total yards, garnered 19 first downs and was never forced to punt.
The Racers travel to Brookings, South Dakota to take on third-ranked South Dakota State next Saturday.
