The league-leading Belmont Bruins poured in 63 second-half points to cruise past Murray State 87-70 on Sunday at the CFSB Center.
The Racers (19-9) had built a 39-24 lead at halftime before the Bruins roared back.
Belmont (24-4) had four scoring in double figures, paced by 21 from Jack Smiley.
Murray State was led by KJ Tenner's 21-point performance, and 20 from Javon Jackson.
Two other Racer offensive threats were limited by the Bruins defense. Freshman Roman Domon scored 8 points, and Fredrick King was held to 2 points.
Domon, is leading all freshman scorers in the MVC at 14.9 points per game in league contests.
Domon entered the game with 375 points, comparing favorably against the performances of other freshman seasons of Racer greats including Ja Morant, Cameron Payne, Isaiah Cannan and Isaac Spencer.
Belmont stretched its Missouri Valley lead at 14-3, putting more distance between them and Bradley (11-5).The Racers, now 11-6 in the MVC, were trying for a split in the season series with the Bruins after falling 103-86 on Jan. 31.
The Racers have three MVC games remaining: at Illinois State, home against Evansville and the regular season finale in Peoria against Bradley.
