Flags at all state and federal office buildings will be lowered to half-staff on Thursday in the national observance of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
More than 2,400 Americans were killed on December 7th, 1941 when the Pacific fleet was surprise attacked, leading to the United States entering World War II.
When signing the Declaration of War against Japan on December 8th, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt called December 7th "a day which will live in infamy."
All businesses, organizations, and individuals to participate in the tribute.
