Voter turnout for November's general election could be high, according to Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams.
Adams, in a post on X Wednesday, said that using absentee ballot requests as a barometer suggests the high voter volume. He said that 130,695 absentee ballots were requested by Tuesday night's deadline. Trends indicate that absentee voters make up between two and four percent of the vote, so that means turnout could be over 4.3 million people looking to cast ballots.
Adams suggests taking advantage of early voting options to avoid potential delays on Election Day, November 5th.
