State troopers seek escaped Hopkins County inmate

Kentucky State Police seek the public's help in locating an inmate that is an escapee from the Hopkins County Detention Center.

Troopers said that 41-year-old Charles Woodward of Madisonville allegedly escaped custody from a work release program at Madisonville Tire and Retreading. He was last seen around 3 p.m. on Thursday, wearing a gray Madisonville Tire uniform.  

He is serving a sentence for burglary and theft by unlawful taking.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call local law enforcement or calling KSP at 270-676-3313.
