A sixth fatality from Kentucky flooding was confirmed on Thursday.

A 66-year old man in Campbell County was the latest victim, joining a 9-year-old boy in Franklin County, a 74-year-old woman in Nelson County, a 65-year-old man in Trigg County, a 27-year-old man in McCracken County, and a 50-year-old man in Bullitt County.

Historic flooding continues, with 70 Kentucky counties under a state of emergency.

As of Thursday, 353 state roads were closed; 341 by flooding and 12 by mudslides or rockslides.

Governor Beshear said Thursday that water rescue teams are being shifted from central Kentucky to western Kentucky as the Ohio River crests downstream in the next several days.
