Murder charges for Eldorado man after victim dies from gunshot wounds

Illinois State Police arrested an Eldorado man after a victim died of gunshot wounds on Sunday morning.

The Eldorado Police Department began to investigate when they learned that someone who was shot on a street corner just after 5 a.m.

They found 44-year-old Michael J. Wiseman of Eldorado with multiple gunshot wounds. Wiseman was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. ​

Illinois State Police were called in, and 25-year-old Jesse W. Trout of Eldorado was arrested. He's charged with first-degree murder, and is being held in the Saline County Jail awaiting trial. ​
