Severe weather will return to a dozen states through Saturday night, with at least widely-separated severe weather reports expected from Texas to Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.
A more highly-concentrated zone of severe weather reports is expected from near Wichita, Kansas, eastward to Springfield and St. Louis, Missouri.
On Sunday, the risk of severe thunderstorms will expand northward from portions of Georgia and the Carolinas through New York state, western New England and into part of southern Quebec.
The main threats on Sunday will be from high winds and flooding downpours. However, one or two of the strongest storms may produce a brief tornado.m
