Kentucky’s fall wildfire season officially came to an end on Sunday, closing out a prohibition on daytime burning.
Wildfire season is defined by Kentucky statute as Oct. 1 through Dec. 15. It will resume for the spring from Feb. 15 through April 30.
During those periods, outdoor burning within 150 feet of a woodlot or brushland is prohibited.
