A Kentucky man was indicted for the murder of a Southern Illinois University college student that occurred in 2021.
Twenty-two-year-old Keavonte Nesby of Louisville was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder for the death of SIU college student Keeshanna Jackson.
Carbondale Police Department received multiple 911 calls of shots fired outside a large house party on West Cherry Street in Carbondale.
Four victims suffered gunshot wounds, including Jackson, who was a freshman at SIU. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
No trial date was released.
