Kentucky State Police issuing body-worn cameras

For the first time in the commonwealth's history, Kentucky State Police will be equipped with body-worn cameras.  
 
KSP will soon implement the Motorola M500 Integrated System, which includes a body-worn camera, audio recording device and in-car video with high-definition cameras.  
 
The new, integrated video recording system will be distributed to about 780 sworn personnel.  
 
KSP plan to deploy the system in marked vehicles by the end of this year.
