Kentuckians might lose access to devices resembling slot machines after a state House of Representatives vote.
The dramatic about-face comes just days after the heavily-lobbied measure stalled. Also known as “skill games,” cash payout games have proliferated in stores throughout Kentucky.
The House last Friday tabled the bill that would ban “skill games.”
House Speaker David Osborne went to the chamber’s floor Wednesday to make a motion to resume consideration of the measure. Osborne’s motion was approved. A few minutes later the bill won House passage, and the measure now heads to the Senate.
