Former Kentucky Democratic chairman Lundergan pardoned by former President Biden

Former Kentucky Democratic Party leader Jerry Lundergan was pardones by former President Joe Biden moments before leaving office Monday.

The 77-year-old Lundergan was given a 21 month prison term after being found guilty of funneling thousands of dollars into the US Senate campaign of his daugther Alison Lundergan-Grimes in 2014.

Lundergan reported to prison in 2021, but suffered a second stroke while incarcerated un 2022.  He was released frpm prison in 2023 without serving his full sentence.
