Kentucky turnout on Election Day was nearly 59 percent of registered voters, and most western Kentucky counties exceeded 60 percent.
Results from the state's election webpage shows that just over 2 million Kentuckians cast ballots for a 58.8 percent turnout.
In the western end of the state, Carlisle County and Marshall County shared the highest percentage turnout of the region at more than 67 percent.
McCracken County cast the most votes (32,224) for a turnout of 54.5 percent.
Only Fulton County turned out less than half of their registered voters; 2167 voters was a turnout of 43 percent.
