A western Kentucky broadcaster heard in Paducah and Mayfield was recently named the state's outstanding agriculture news reporter.

Edge Media Group News and Farm Director Alan Watts received the Kentucky Farm Bureau Communications Award.

On the Ag Edge Network, Watts shares messages of agriculture, agritourism, and rural Kentucky on 82 radio stations across the state on the ‘Travelin the Bluegrass’ show, including weekday mornings on 93.3 WKYQ in Paducah and Willie 102 in Mayfield, from his home base for 27 years at WKDZ in Cadiz.

Watts also hosts the Farm Bureau podcast called ‘The Farmers Voice,’ featuring farmers from across the state. On the show, popular topics include the biggest challenges to farming as well as what guests enjoy most about farming.
