A Benton man was arrested after fleeing from a rollover crash in Graves County.

At about 11:08 p.m. on New Years day, the Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 8000 block of KY 58 East. They said the vehicle driven by 25-year-old Christian Kaler of Benton left the roadway, struck an electrical pole guy wire and overturned onto its side.

They determined that Kaler fled on foot prior to deputies’ arrival. He was soon located by deputies and taken into custody. After Kaler was medically cleared at the hospital, he was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody and later lodged at an out-of-county detention facility.

Kaler was charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and criminal mischief.
