Along with warmer conditions finally returning this week, so has the chance for some significant rain.
The National Weather Service in Paducah's outlook shows temperatures rising to above normal for the week ahead. Today's high will be around 48, then well into the 50s through Thursday. Friday could even see 60 degrees.
Breezy winds and low afternoon humidity may enhance early week fire conditions, until a late week system brings 1-2 inches of rain on Thursday and Friday. Higher amounts could be possible in southeast Missouri and western Kentucky.
Rain should end early Saturday.
