A traffic stop Monday ended with the arrest of a Mayfield fugitive.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said deputies were patrolling US 45 North when they saw a vehicle southbound on US 45 traveling at 30 MPH over the speed limit.

They stopped the vehicle and discovered the driver was 21-year-old Jesus Martinez Garcia of Mayfield after Garcia reportedly gave the deputies a false name and information.

Deputies then learned Garcia had three active warrants for his arrest out of Graves County.

Garcia was charged with speeding 26 or more over the limit, no operator's license, no insurance, criminal possession of a forged instrument and other traffic offenses.

On the active warrants for his arrest, he was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, greater than or equal to four grams of cocaine, criminal possession of a forged instrument and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
