WSIL-TV 3 off the air after lightning strike

The broadcast signal for WSIL News 3 was knocked off the air late Wednesday morning after severe storms moved through the region.

A lightning strike hit the station’s broadcast tower during the storms, interrupting the over-the-air signal.

Viewers may be unable to receive the station’s signal until repairs are completed. The station is working to assess the damage and restore service as quickly as possible.
