Reed named new superintendent of Lyon County Schools

The Lyon County Board of Education held a special called meeting on Friday to approve the appointment of Miranda B. Reed as the next Superintendent of Lyon County Schools. 

Reed is a Lyon County resident and graduate of Lyon County High School. She brings along 18 years of
experience in public education.

Reed will officially assume the role on July 1.

Most recently, she has served as Director of Special Education for Lyon County Schools. She previously served as Director of Special Education and Preschool for Mayfield Independent Schools, and as a Special Education Consultant for Graves County Schools, in addition to several years as a special education teacher.
