Storm reports called in to the National Weather Service on Sunday included one sighted tornado, some extremely large hail and many reports of 60 mile-per-hour winds.

A tornado touched down briefly around Neelyville, Missouri west of Poplar Bluff.

Tennis ball sized hail occurred at Bernie, Missouri. One-inch hail and larger occurred at Fancy Farm and Mayfield, as well as Jackson and Perry counties in southern Illinois. Otherwise, quarter-sized hail occurred over much of southeast Missouri, and quarter-inch hail was common across southern Illinois and western Kentucky.

In southern Illinois at Tamms, a reported tornado damaged some structures. Large trees were split in Ullin and power poles snapped in near Olmsted in Pulaski County. Century High School is closed today to assess storm damage to its roof. Shawnee College also noted some damage to fencing and rooftop utilities.

In Todd County, 65 mph straight-line winds were registered. In Ballard County and Crittenden County, winds reached 62 mph.
