A donation from the United Way will benefit Graves County residents recovering from the tornado.
The United Way of Paducah-McCracken County's disaster relief committee toured Camp Graves and presented the $250,000 donation last week.
Camp Graves will use the funds to provide rental homes to Graves County residents affected by the tornado free-of-charge.
In addition to creating new housing and repairs, the donation will go toward other basic needs like furniture.
The United Way noted that Camp Graves' application revealed plans to offer educational opportunities on its campus in the near future, to help residents build back better.
During its first phase of funding for disaster recovery across western Kentucky, the United Way of Kentucky and United Way of Paducah-McCracken County have earmarked over $1.1 million.
