An undercover methamphetamine purchase in Paducah sent an alleged trafficker to jail.
Drug detectives from the McCracken County Sheriff's Office made arrangements to purchase methamphetamine from a Paducah man on Monday. The suspect, 35-year-old Anthony J. McIntosh, set the meeting in a parking lot on Kentucky Avenue. When the detectives arrived, they placed McIntosh under arrest. He allegedly had the meth he planned to sell in a jacket pocket.
McIntosh was awaiting sentencing in an unrelated meth case. That hearing is set to take place in McCracken Circuit Court in October.
The additional charges stemming from Monday's arrest include trafficking in methamphetamine. McIntosh was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
