Kentucky's Water Transportation Advisory Board approved a new round of $5.7 million in investment for 15 public riverport projects, including four in western Kentucky.

The Paducah-McCracken County Riverport Authority received $500,000 for its barge cell revitalization project received $500,000 while the authority's fertilizer conveyor system replacement project received $250,000 and the mobile crane project received $96,000.

The Hickman-Fulton County Riverport Authority's conveyor upgrade and replacement received $750,000.

The Eddyville Riverport and Industrial Authority received $750,000 from the Kentucky Public Riverport Construction and Maintenance fund for the Dolphin Project, and $91,928 from the Kentucky Riverport Improvement fund for a paving project with a total cost of $183,876.

At the beginning of 2024, the Kentucky General Assembly allocated $15 million for two years for the Kentucky Public Riverport Construction and Maintenance grant. The Kentucky Riverport Improvement program provides additional grant support.
