Two men from El Salvador were arrested Tuesday morning after they allegedly attacked a gas station employee in Oak Grove, and a third man is sought by police.

At about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers from the Oak Grove Police Department responded to the Hi Road convenience store.

Reports indicated the individuals involved attempted to commit a theft in the store and were told by the clerk to leave. However, the suspects returned, armed with weapons, and attacked the clerk. The clerk was able to fend off the attackers, and all three suspects fled in a vehicle.

Police located the vehicle and two of the three suspects were taken into custody.

They charged 46-year-old Ortiz Guadalupe and 26-year-old Alex Artola with assault, menacing, and alcohol intoxication in a public place. Artola was also charged with shoplifting.

The third suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'10" with black hair and brown eyes. He may have sustained injuries to his head and face during the altercation.
