Stop in Marshall County nets trafficking charge for Benton man

A Monday traffic stop in Marshall County landed a Benton man in jail on trafficking charges.

Marshall County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Michael Melton of Benton along US 68. A search of Melton's vehicle uncovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Melton was charged with trafficking in meth and possession of marijuana.
