Two men were flown to out-of-state hospitals after a single-vehicle crash in Caldwell County Wednesday.

Caldwell County deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Scottburg and Watson Roads. They said 26-year old Matthew Rollins of Princeton failed to negotiate a curve and struck an earth embankment at the intersection.

According to deputies, Rollins was extricated from the vehicle by the Princeton Fire Department and flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

A passenger in the vehicle, 31-year old Michael Wyatt of Hopkins County, reportedly sustained serious injuries in the crash and was flown to Skyline Hospital in Nashville.
