A traffic stop in Livingston County on Tuesday landed a Symsonia man in jail.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy stopped a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Charles Dempsey of Symsonia. The stop took place on Tuesday in Ledbetter. As a result of the stop, a search was conducted, and methamphetamine was allegedly found in Dempsey’s possession.

Dempsey was arrested and charged with meth possession and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
