A Trigg County man will spend over three years behind bars after he was sentenced on firearm charges.
Authorities said 41-year-old Chanz Outing owned a shotgun with a barrel length less than 18 inches that was not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.
In addition, he was prohibited from owning a firearm due to previous felony convictions.
Officials said the case was part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods program, which brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
