A traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon snared a wanted Murray man.
Calloway County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle on Roosevelt Road near Lane Street reportedly for careless driving. The driver, 37-year-old Gregory A. Billington of Murray, was said to be driving with no insurance and an expired license. Further investigation also allegedly uncovered methamphetamine in his possession in addition to active warrants for his arrest.
Billington was charged with probation violation, meth possession, and a warrant for failure to appear in an assault case from February. There were also several traffic violations.
Billington was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
