Traffic stop in stolen vehicle lands Murray man in jail

A traffic stop in what turned out to be a stolen vehicle landed a Murray man in jail.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the car on South 12th Street. The driver, 52-year-old Aaron R. Wilkinson of Murray, was reportedly driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen from the Mayfield location of Enterprise Rent-A-Car. They reported the theft after a burglary at that store.

Wilkinson was arrested and charged with multiple counts of receiving stolen property, plus driving on a suspended license. He was booked into the Calloway County Detention Center.

Mayfield Police are continuing the investigation.
