A traffic stop on US 68 in Marshall County landed a Paducah man in jail Sunday.

Marshall County deputies stopped 42-year-old Terry Gilbert of Paducah on US 68 after he was reportedly spotted driving carelessly. During the stop, deputies are said to have determined that Gilbert was under the influence of a substance other than alcohol. A search of the vehicle located methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription valium not in a proper container.

Gilbert was arrested and charged with meth and marijuana possession, as well as not having the prescription valium in a proper container, driving carelessly, and not having registration.
