A traffic stop early Wednesday in Marshall County ended with two people facing charges.

The stop occurred along I-24 in Marshall County. Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff's Office stopped 45-year-old Shane Turner of Hickory as the registration on his vehicle had expired. A computer check revealed that Turner's license had been suspended. He also did not have insurance and had committed several traffic violations. Additionally, Turner was served with three bench warrants from Graves County for failure to appear.

Turner's passenger, 39-year-old Jennifer Lauby of Wickliffe, was arrested for being in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
