A Peoria, IL woman was arrested last week after attempting to pass a forged prescription to try and fraudulently receive Oxycodone and other controlled substances.
Paducah Police on December 31st responded to a local pharmacy following a report of suspicious activity. The woman, later identified as 54-year-old Bonnie S. Jensen, presented a prescription allegedly issued by a local doctor.
Pharmacy staff identified the prescription as fraudulent and refused to fill it. Jensen subsequently visited two other pharmacies in Paducah, attempting unsuccessfully to pass additional fraudulent prescriptions.
On January 15th, Jensen returned to Paducah and presented another forged prescription at another pharmacy. Staff immediately contacted Paducah Police, who arrested her at the scene.
Jensen was charged with four counts of possession of a forged prescription and lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center.
