I-24 traffic stop leads to two arrests

Two people were arrested following a traffic stop for expired registration on I-24 in Marshall County Wednesday.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office said 45-year-old Shane Turner of Hickory was found to have several outstanding warrants.

Turner was charged with operating on a suspended license, no insurance, no registration and other traffic offenses.  

Turner was also arrested on three bench warrants all issued out of Graves District Court  for charges of failure to appear. 

The passenger in the vehicle, 39-year-old Jennifer Lauby of Wickliffe, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or greater offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
