The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that the application period for assistance resulting from the Memorial Weekend storms is three weeks away.

FEMA officials say if you had damages or losses, take some time to assess your recovery and consider applying. Visit a local county's Disaster Recovery Center, log on to  disasterassistance.gov , use the FEMA app or call 800-621-3362.

The Memorial Day weekend storms left extensive damage in numerous counties across western Kentucky by producing strong winds, tornadoes and landslides in Lyon, Caldwell, Trigg, Christian, Hopkins, and other counties.
