Three charged with trespassing, damaging planted Graves farmland

Three men were charged last weekend after trespassing onto planted Graves County farmland in pickup trucks, causing over $1,000 dollars in crop damage.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said the damage was done at a farm on Garrett Road in southern Graves County. One of the trucks became stuck, then another got stuck attempting to get to the first one. None of the three men had permission to be on the land. 

The Sheriff's Office said 18-year-old Raymond M. Lacefield of Mayfield was charged with criminal mischief. They said 19-year-old Drake M. Slushmeyer of McCracken County and 19-year-old Mark Wring of Wingo were both charged with criminal trespass.

The Sheriff's Office said restitution will be requested by sheriff's deputies on behalf on the landowner to the court.
