Three leaders from the Jackson Purchase have been named to the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority.

Keith Murt of Paducah along with Kevin Spraggs and Rita Dotson of Benton will take over those seats and serve until 2029. Murt is the owner of Murtco, Incorporated, and will take the expired seat of Kenneth Imes. Spraggs, the Marshall County Judge Executive, will assume his spot from McCracken County Judge Executive Craig Clymer. Dotson is the Mayor of Benton. She takes over from Hollis Alexander.

The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority is made up of representatives from Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. The organization is tasked with overseeing the growth, development, and trade opportunities of the Tenn-Tom.
