Three men were arrested in Calloway County after they reportedly attempted to break into vehicles at a detective's home.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, an off-duty detective with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office was alerted by home security cameras that someone was on the property.

The detective said cameras showed three men attempting to make entry into locked vehicles in the driveway. When the detective went outside, the suspects drove away at a high rate of speed.

The detective located the suspects' vehicle a short distance away and another deputy arrived to investigate.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, it is suspected that the individuals took property and firearms out of at least five vehicles in that area before they were stopped. The firearms did not belong to the Sheriff’s Office or the off-duty detective.

The sheriff's office had previously alerted residents of a number of vehicle break-ins that occurred on Thursday.

The three men were 19-year-old Terrance Mark Jackson Johnson of South Fulton, KY; 20-year-old Camron Malieke Price of Hornbeak, TN; and 19-year-old Jimmy Dewayne Gage Webb of Dyersburg, TN.

They were lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center on charges that included trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, possession of burglary tools and engaging in organized crime.
