Threat investigation at Mayfield High School brings charges 

A threat toward Mayfield High School students has been under investigation.

Mayfield Independent Schools posted on social media Thursday night that a threat had been leveled at students attending Mayfield High School. The district was attempting to assure parents and students that the situation has been addressed and that safety remains the top priority. The administration did not want families to get the information from hearsay or other sources.

Officials said that an investigation into an incident had been conducted and that all of those involved in the situation had been contacted. They also said that charges had been filed in the case, but provided no other details.
