Texas man jailed following brief pursuit

A Dallas, TX man was arrested late Wednesday night following a brief pursuit.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they attempted to stop the vehicle operated by 27-year-old Malcom Grant in the area of I-24 and Lone Oak Road for speeding and a equipment violation.

Grant's vehicle failed to yield and made a left turn on Bleich Road where it left the roadway and struck a school zone sign head on.

Grant was taken into custody for several traffic offenses along with charges of criminal mischief and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
