Teens arrested following Saturday break-in at Smith Mansion in Smithland

A pair of teenagers were arrested during a break-in at the Smith Mansion in Smithland on Saturday night.

Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies were alerted just before 8 p.m. Saturday to a possible burglary at the iconic home on Court Street. As they arrived, they spotted two people fleeing the home.

They caught up to the teens, identified as 18-year-old Aiden Shirkrisin of Kuttawa and 18-year-old Nathan Lapradd of Marion.

Both were arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police. Shirkrisin was additionally charged with burglary. Lapradd was also charged with criminal trespass. The two were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
